Sparrow Tree Square | Book Review Guidelines

Sparrow Tree Square discusses books new and old on both this website and the Sparrow Tree Square blog, and will accept requests for reviews from authors, agents, and publishers. I'm interested in reviewing books in the following genres:

Sweet, gently humorous, or witty picture books
Middle grade fantasy
Young adult sci-fi and fantasy

I do NOT publish reviews of books which contain the following:

Depictions of abuse
Excessive or graphic violence
Gross humor
Vulgar language (mild language in YA novels is excluded from this policy)
Sensual or sexual content when inappropriate for the target audience

The best way to determine whether or not your book is right for Sparrow Tree Square is to browse through our collection of published reviews. You'll get the best sense of what I like by reading reviews of similar books in the appropriate age category.

If you have a book that you think might be of interest to Sparrow Tree Square readers, send a synopsis to editor@sparrowtreesquare.com. Reviews of selected books will appear both on the blog and on this website. However, I reserve the right not to publish a review of any book I receive if I feel that it is not right for Sparrow Tree Square, and I will return un-reviewed books upon request.
