WELCOME

Welcome to Sparrow Tree Square, a free resource for classic children's literature! Since 2006, Sparrow Tree Square has been devoted to introducing young readers to the best stories, poems, and books of bygone eras.

Sparrow Tree Square's flagship publication is Sparrow Tree Square Magazine, which has been in publication since July 2006. There are over fifty issues of the magazine available in our still-growing archive, each filled with poetry, short stories, and original articles and activities. Every issue of Sparrow Tree Square is beautifully illustrated and available in a free printable PDF format. New issues are currently released seasonally.

You can also find all of Sparrow Tree Square's book reviews on this site in an easy-to-browse archive. The book reviews section contains recommendations for my personal favorites as well as my take on publishers' new releases. The Sparrow Tree Square book review collection is a great resource for finding books to share with children in the home or in the classroom, as all of the featured books must meet certain quality and content standards in order to be added to the collection.

If you like the magazine and book reviews, consider visiting the Sparrow Tree Square blog. The blog is updated at least twice a week with thoughts on all things related to literature and education, and is first place to check for my newest book reviews. You can also stay in touch by following my Twitter feed, or by becoming a fan of Sparrow Tree Square on Facebook. If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to send an e-mail to editor@sparrowtreesquare.com.
